After a few minutes of investigation, I realized what had happened. The prayer book, which had been custom-written for a woman, had originally contained a blessing praising the Almighty “who had not created me a man,” to be recited while the men-folk were expressing their gratitude for not being women.   We will advance to recent centuries to see how the prayers, teaching, and example of godly mothers has shaped evangelists, preachers, and stalwart defenders of the faith. We will learn together of Christian men and their godly moms. We will celebrate mothers who were used to shape the men who changed the world.

The story of the five daughters of Zelophehad provides legitimation of a limited right of Israelite women to inherit land. It also places specific marriage restrictions upon any women who inherit under this right. The story celebrates women’s boldness and at the same time offers comfort for men who have the misfortune (from the Bible’s androcentric point of view) to have no sons. The Academy Chapel has a book listing all mariners killed in WWI and WWII, including the cadets lost during WWII. In the Pool. A baptism, A new place to start. For our boys, Going in, As men, coming out. A baptism upon our boys. Really always boys, But really always men.

Raise up men of faith, men of the Word, men of prayer. Baptise them in the spirit of prayer and immerse their hearts in pure, persistent prayers and intercessions for all the saints of God.

In Jesus' name, Amen. Praying men are the one commanding need of this day, as of all other days, in which God is to have or make a showing.

Men who pray are, in reality, the only religious men, and it takes a full-measured man to pray. Men of prayer are the only men who do. The answer I want to suggest is this: People will pray about the warfare of world evangelization the way Hezekiah prayed when they are filled with the vision of God's inevitable triumph in world evangelization.

Implicit in Hezekiah's prayer is that God cannot be defeated. Isaiah makes this crystal-clear. We salute the soldiers with a Veterans prayer of respect and devotion.

Celebrate freedom, and remember the veteran with Veteran's Day prayers that say thank you to the men. SOLVED. A group of women who live around the same cul de sac start a book club.
